The Dish

Patience is the secret ingredient.

Bhuna isn't a recipe — it's a discipline. Onions caramelised slowly until they collapse into sweetness, meat seared in that very oil, spices folded in patiently, and hours of gentle heat until the gravy dries down and clings to every piece. Nothing rushed. Nothing wasted.

Slow-cooked for hours

Once the spices break their oil, the heat drops and the pot sits for hours on a gentle flame. No pressure cookers. The gravy reduces until it's almost dry and the meat takes on a deep, glazed colour.

Beef or mutton, your call

Fresh from Meat One, never frozen. Beef at AED 185 a kilo, mutton at AED 205. We hand-pick cuts that hold their shape through long cooking and still pull apart with a spoon.

House-ground masala

Whole spices roasted and ground in small batches the same week they're used. No packet powders, no shortcuts — just the deep, complex base every proper bhuna needs.

Naan, paratha or rice roti

A dry, glazed bhuna asks for soft, blistered naan — that's how it's eaten in Mumbai. Parathas and rice roti work just as well to mop up the masala.

How it Works

Three simple steps from order to table.

01

Order & sourcing

You confirm your kilos, meat choice and date on WhatsApp between 9 AM – 5 PM, minimum 24 hours ahead. Meat is procured fresh from Meat One, only after your order is confirmed.

02

Caramelise & bhuna

Onions go in first — caramelised slowly until deep mahogany. The meat is sautéed in that same oil with the caramelised onions, then the spices, stirred patiently until they release their oil.

03

Slow-cooked to finish

The pot sits on a gentle flame for hours until the gravy dries down, clings to every piece, and reaches the colour and depth we won't compromise on. Packed hot and delivered to Sharjah, Ajman and Dubai — or collected from our kitchen.

From Our Kitchen

Mumbai's most-loved dish, cooked properly.

In Mumbai, Bhuna Gosht is never a lunch dish. It belongs to the night — late dinners with the family, the slow, heavy meal you sit down to when the day is finally done. Most of all, it belongs to Ramadan: the cast iron tawa working through the long fast, the first proper bite after iftar when the food has to actually mean something. That's where bhuna lives.

Spice Haus exists to take the shortcut out of it. One dish, made the long way. Fresh meat from Meat One — beef or mutton, your choice. Onions caramelised for hours, not minutes. Spices roasted and ground in small batches. Cooked for hours on the gentlest flame, until the gravy clings instead of pours.

We make a small batch each day and stop when it's gone. That's why we ask for 24 hours notice — so yours is cooked for you, never warmed up. The classic, finally given the time it deserves.

Meat One
Our supplier Meat One · Zabiha Halal · Fresh, never frozen
Every kilo is cooked fresh, made to order. Nothing sits in a freezer waiting for a buyer. Once you confirm, we order the meat from Meat One the same morning, caramelise the onions for over an hour, bhuna the masala until it releases its oil, and let it sit on a low flame through the night until the gravy dries down and clings to every piece. That's why we need 24 hours — so what you eat tomorrow is cooked, today, for you.
For now, we deliver across Ajman, Sharjah and Dubai. Pickup from our Sharjah home kitchen is always free. Delivery is a flat AED 25, anywhere across the three emirates. Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates are on our list, but not live yet.
Bank transfer only, for now. Once your order is confirmed on WhatsApp, we'll share our account details privately. Online payment is coming soon — we're keeping things simple in the early days.
A glazed, dry bhuna is built for breads that mop up the masala. Our favourites: Mumbai naan, rice roti, Kerala paratha, and a warm French bread torn at the table. Each one earns its place.
